In Memoriam Welcome to the Memorial Page for Leonberger puppies that have left us before their time. Though rare, sometimes Leonbergers are born with health conditions that are beyond the cures of modern veterinarian science, and cannot be saved no matter how much we try, pray, hope, and pay. Their impact on our lives is always huge, particularly since we are usually in love with them before they are even born, and fall head over heels the minute we lay eyes on them. And even though their untimely passing leaves our hearts badly broken and creates a huge void of sadness that once was filled with a beautiful puppy, we hope that by their sacrifice we may have a better understanding of how to prevent other Leonberger puppies from the same suffering. We have come together to dedicate a portion of our site, devoted as a place for those brave puppies that gave their lives, wanting only to love and be loved. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. It is for us the living to honor the unfinished work of those pups that came and left too soon.
